Welcome to Al-Noor Girls Secondary School
I am delighted to introduce you to Al-Noor Girls Secondary School. Al Noor Girls Secondary School is an independent ,multi faith school with Islamic ethos. The school was opened in 2008 by International AnjumanE Khuddam Ul Sofia and Ameer-e-Milat Trust.
Students and staff bring their own unique personalities and skills to make it a magical experience for all. This years results speaks for itself as to how much work and effort our fantastic teaching staff and students have put in to represent Al Noor Girls Secondary School in the best possible light.
Our vision for Al-Noor is to ensure that together we give each of our students the skills, personal qualities and qualifications they need to be successful at university and in the career of their choice. We together make them role models for future generations, helping them to fulfil their potential and raise aspirations. We believe in supporting students not only academically but also to become civilised , law abiding and yet independent individuals. We focus on good character development and emphasis the following virtues regularly: honesty, courage, self discipline, humility, commitment, gratitude, justice, compassion, service and charity.
We are committed to serving our community. Our curriculum includes teaching of British values. We recognise the multi-cultural, multi-faith and ever-changing nature of the United Kingdom. We also understand the vital role we play in ensuring that groups or individuals within our school community are not subjected to discrimination, intimidation or radicalisation by those wishing to unduly, or illegally, influence them.
The Government emphasises that schools are required to ensure that key British Values are taught in all UK schools. The government set out its definition of British values in the ‘Prevent Strategy’ values of:
